BELL RINGING

The tower at St Peter's has 8 bells which are rung before the 9.30am service most weeks. The sound of bells can also be heard around the town on Monday evenings from 7.30-9.00pm when the group practices. The bellringers can be booked as part of wedding celebrations.

The Brackley bell ringers are part of the Diocesan Guild of Bell Ringers and they welcome enquiries from anyone interested in learning this traditional skill. There are outings to other towers to ring the changes and often in September some ringers head off for a few days ringing in another part of the country.

The church is grateful to the ringers for looking after both the church clock and providing flags to fly from the tower on significant dates.

The bell ringers are always looking to recruit new ringers, so please just get in touch if you would like to learn or at least give it a try. For more information about joining or to book the bellringers, contact Andrew North at andrew.north@btinternet.com.
