More than conquerors

'Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution..?

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.'

Romans 8:35, 37

What things are you finding really hard in life at the moment?

Write them all down on a big piece of paper.

Now rewrite the sentence above replacing "trouble", "hardship" and "persecution" with your words.

Sometimes these things can make us feel far from God, like he has abandoned us, and that can make them even harder.

But Christians can know for sure that nothing, NOTHING, can separate us from the love of Christ.

And that make us conquerors (winners!). It doesn't spare us from difficulty but it does help us cope with it.

Why not try to memorise Romans 8:37 using this song:

If you like colouring, this colouring sheet might also help you to remember the verse if you fill it in and put it up somewhere so you'll see it every day.

Let's pray:

Dear heavenly Father, thank you that we can be sure you love us even when it doesn't feel like it. Thank you that Jesus dying for us proves that you love us sooooo much. Please help us to be "more than conquerors" in all these things.
