Mission Action Plan

Our vision for 2010-2015

To grow in numbers and increase our influence and effectiveness as a worship-centred, outward-looking, mission-minded Christian community.

• Vibrant; prayerful; caring; hospitable and welcoming to all;
• a community whcih nurtures faith, discipleship and leadership;
• is excellent at communication,
• encourages and empowers its members to live out their faith through service and engagement in the wider community.

In order to enable our vision we have this Action Plan for 2011 - 2012

• To establish a team to work with the incumbent and others to explore the development of new worship opportunities.
• The Ministry Team and others to focus on the development of pastoral ministry: to older people (particularly the house-bound) and to the parents of young children
• Establish a new group to explore all aspects relating to the re-ordering and re-decoration of the worship space and its resourcing.
• To appoint a 'Communications Czar'.
• To encourage ongoing prayerful and practical support for First Steps, Living Big Club, The Junior Choir, The Hyb, the monthly prayer breakfast, the schools work and the web-site. 

Prayer for Renewal and Mission

 Heavenly Father, in Jesus' name, we ask for a fresh outpouring of your Holy Spirit on our Church.   Help us to grow in our experience of your love, forgiveness and healing.  Challenge our commitment to stay as we are.  Renew our vision of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ, that through our words and the way we live, others may be drawn to His Way.  Give us wisdom to seek your will and grant us the joy that comes from wholeheartedly following it.  For your Glory and the good of all your people.  Amen
